European Union wants to pitch in production of bio-energy.

European Commission ruminates about higher support of production of biofuel by decreasing tax burden in context with increasing the oil price. Martin Severa, the spokesman of Department of Agriculture CR informed about it. This initiative appears from analysis, according to that biofuel cannot survive on market on the same level of consumer tax, which reads by the gas and oil.

Change of European Community rules about biocides.

New order 396/2005/EC about maximum limits of residue biocides in groceries and animal fodders, which have vegetable and animal origin and about changes of direction 91/414/EHS about introduction of preparations on plant prevention on market, , was published 16. 3. 2005. Its publication results from order 178/2002

Czechs spent on flowers eight milliard CZK

Last year were sold flowers under 7.76 milliard CZK in Czech repulblic, which has been roughly about tenths more than in previous year. We can´t tell, that people bought more flowers. Rising of earnings was influenced especially of April increase of value added tax from five to 19 per cent and therefrom resulting rise in prices.

Finns want to build a giant papermill in Czech republic

Already on May will decide a big investor from Finland about possible development of giant papermill in Opatovicice nad Labem in Pardubice region. The final verdict about project under roughly 13.5 milliard CZK was originally awaited till after holidays. Except Czech republis are at stake locations in Poland and in Slovakia, said Jaroslav Deml.
