Brigade work in agriculture is not attractive for students
South-Bohemian students during summer brigade-work prefer to earn extra money as sight guides where they can practise foreign languages. On the contrary a brigade-workers interest in agricultural coops decreases every year. In looking for a brigade work boys have a better chance to succeed while seasonal work is most often sought in personnel agencies by girls. It results from a ČTK public inquiry.
Prices of emission permit will further grow
Prices of European permits for greenhouse-gas emissions will probably still grow because an economy with smoking coal-power factories is financially more attractive than a production of electricity power from cleaner gas. It is reported by sources from the branch. Since the beginning of the year, when a business with permits begun, their prices jumped up three times and today they reached a new maximum.
Gašparovič did not signed forest law
The Slovak president, Ivan Gašparovič, did not sign the forest law today and returned it to a parliament negotiation. The president worries that within the law it would be possible to exceed timber harvesting unreasonably and an urgent timber harvesting, on base of which it would be possible to log more than it is stated in forest-economic plan, it is necessary, according Gašparovič, to condition to a written agreement of the State Administration of Forestry authority. The president also does not agree with a possibility in some cases to intervene in growths of private persons, which are obliged to allow these operations. That is considered as an interference with corporal possession.
There are many dairy works, they corrupt prices
Milk does not flow only from the Czech Republic to Germany, where domestic farmers started to export it due to better prices after the EU enlargement. A statistics has already marked also a milk movement in an opposite direction. A reason is obvious: milk prices increased significantly during last year in the Czech Republic, vice-versa in the Western Europe they decreased.
