Forests CR face to criminal complaint
A management of the state public enterprise Forests CR (LČR) faces to a criminal complaint. It was exhibited by its previous head, Jiří Oliva. The criminal complaint deals with the enterprise’s economy. However, it is not the only problem which Forests CR will have to battle with. There are sharp critics by forests and wood-processing enterprises against selective procedures, which were advertised for forest works on June 24 this year. Private firms which win in tenders are about to provide works for the Forests CR at about 40 percents of area which the enterprise manages for the state. However, conditions of selective procedures, according to the Czech Association of Entrepreneurs in Forest Industry (ČAPLH), increase a corruption risk in a significant way.
Rural development policy will be wider, simpler and will better react to citizens’ worries
The Council of Ministers of Agriculture reached a political agreement yesterday for a regulation for support of rural development for following programming period (20072013), namely by means of the European Agricultural Fund of Rural Development. This new policy will have a wider coverage because it solves issues of innovative and restructuring needs in agriculture and forestry, increases protection of environment and should create more work places and opportunities in rural areas. It will be also simpler because it units the present amount of various programs and financing tools in a single frame.
Bio-iol won’t meanwhile be at gas stations
Bio-fuels will appear at gas stations nor next months. A crucial firm Setuza, which should produce rape methyl ester for bio-oil from the beginning of July, will rather export it abroad more profitably. It was written in today’s Hospodářské noviny (Economic gazette) According to original plans the share of bio-fuels at the end of year should be at least 2 percents. The support of bio-iol program cost over 16 billions of crowns up to now.
Kučera: It’s time to cancel common agricultural policy of EU
The EU Constitutional Agreement fell. Thereby a space for discussions on economic problems of the Community was opened and the first one was a budget – it did not pass. In brief: we entry a new stage. Now, instead of political conditions of the EU enlargement, the core of discussions in the EU will be economic conditions of member states coexistence in the EU. The discussion starts from the beginning and it will be possible and likely necessary to create an agreement as simplest as possible and just to all member states.
