Horse business comes back to live in the Czech Republic

In front of a horse-breeding farm in Napajedla in Zlín region cars with licence plates not only from the Czech Republic but also from Austria and Slovakia parked. Dedans at a show area were fulfilled to the last place and people watched very attentively and with an applause accompanied about a thirty one-year English Thoroughbreds from Napajedla breeding. Some of the horses found out their new owners. “Even though meanwhile it can not equal to foreign competition and an import of horses in the Czech Republic unambiguously prevails, we feels a revival and bigger interest above all of domestic owners in horses from the Horse-breeding farm in Napajedla”, sais its manager Zdeněk Hlačík.

EU increased volume of Czech wheat for export by a half to 276 000 tons

The European Union approved a demand of the Czech Republic to increase a volume of Czech wheat which can be in tenders offered to an export of intervention reserves by less than 96 000 tons. It was announced in an official EU bulletin. A new export tender for Czech wheat was opened on the 14th July in a volume of 180 000 tons. The Czech Republic asked to increase a volume of the tender by 85 911 tons which the commission approved, the bulletin reported according to the agency Reuters.

Vine-growers were surprised unpleasantly by fall of buy-out price of grapes

Vine-growers were surprised unpleasantly by buy-out prices of grapes. If they do not have long-term contracts with large customers, they will get in average by 40 to 50 percent less for their grapes especially in varieties Veltlínské zelené (Grüner Veltliner) and Ryzling vlašský (Welschriesling) than last year according to sugar content, so about five crowns for a kilogram. It results from a today's findings. The company Znovín Znojmo according to a director Pavel Vajčner estimated a fall of buy-out prices of grapes, however, not at this level. Regarding the competition the enterprise does not take a pleasure on the present development. Znovín will start to purchase on the 3rd October and will announce the prices in a week.

Instead for bio-foods state give dotations for “eco-hay”

The Czech Republic is according to statistics a leader of eco-agriculture among new countries of the European Union. This year almost three hundred crowns aim to that - six times more than for example seven year ago. However, it can not be recognized on counters of shops. To buy home foodstuffs is very difficult. Reason? On ninety percents of “ecological” areas farmers only cut the grass or pasture several cows. Thanks to it they reach to state money and they do not have to produce any bio-food.
