South-Moravian farmers call on protest actions in all the country

Framers in South-Moravian region called on regional agrarian chambers to organize protest actions on the area of whole republic. They were forced to it by a permanent decrease of prices of all commodities and incomes and on the contrary a consistent growth of prices of fuels and energies. “The protests concern also Prague and are estimated at the and of September or in October, said a head of directorship of the Agrarian chamber Božík Severin to journalists today in Brno. According to him the mood of farmers is very bad. Support of bio-oil production is due to decrease

In Thursday the government will negotiate a proposal for a decrease of support of rape processing to rape oil methyl ester (MEŘO) which is mixed with diesel oil for bio-oil. The decrease should be from present 7000 crowns to 4150 crowns per a ton MEŘO. According to the Ministry of Agriculture the tariff is adjusted in harmony with set rules in dependence on a development of rape and diesel oil prices.

Court forbad cheese Apetitto from Želetava

A regional court in Brno already for the second time decided in a law-suit for the cheese mark Apetito/Apetitto. Unlike the original judgement in favour of BEL Sýry Česko (BSČ) it complied the action of the firm TPK and set to BSČ to desist from further use of the mark Apetitto for its processed cheese. “In the legal proceedings we unambiguously proved that the cheese Apetito arose in 1973 in želetava enterprise of the state plant Lacrum”, said Kamila Sušanková, a marketing director of the company BEL Sýry Česko, a present owner of the enterprise in Želetava. “After obtaining of a written issue of judgement including a statement of the reasons we are going to appeal”, she added.

University has new faculty

An accreditation commission of the CR government entered an appearance with establishment of the Faculty of Science of Jan Evangelista Purkyně University (UJEP) in Ústí nad Labem. “This event has an enormous significance for the university, the town Ústí, and the entire region of North-West Bohemia. It is the biggest success of the university in its present history”, Jana Šiková, a spokeswoman of UJEP, said to Právo.
