Buy-out prices of slaughter animals grew
Buy-out prices of cattle in the 48th week grew in comparison with a previous one. Meat combines paid also more for pigs to farmers in this period. It results from a regular weekly investigation of the Czech Statistic Office. During a week the bull price increased by 29 hallers to 41,64 CZK for kilogram. A price of slaughter heifers grew by 18 hallers to 29,60 crowns for kilogram; a price of cows increased by 36 hallers to 27,02 CZK/kg. Pigs became more expensive by 17 hallers to 32,56 crowns for kilogram.
Price of some fruits and vegetable raised; meat is cheaper
Price of foods in shops changed only slightly again in this week. Only some kinds of fruit and vegetable rose in price, vice versa, meat was cheaper. Also price of eggs, fresh butter, rice and bakery fell slightly. On the contrary, the Czech Statistic Office found out that vegetable butter was more expensive. Costumers paid at average by 1,52 crowns more for a kilo of paprika than in last week; the price increased to 43,42 CZK. On the contrary, costumers could save on oranges almost 2 crowns when they paid at average 27,04 CZK for kilogram.
Procedure of Land Fund will be screened by forensic audit
A chairman of the Land Fund executive committee will appeal to the four largest auditing companies which should realize so called forensic audit in the Fund in short time. That should examine who from workers failed in case of speculative transfers of lots. The Minister of Agriculture Jan Mládek said it to the broadcasting station BBC today. He confirmed as well that the government will ask the Supreme Audit Office CR to screen the Fund procedure.
Mládek established a new section for relation with the Union at MZe
A streamlining and improving of work of the Ministry of Agriculture (MZe) above all in relations with the European Union, that is a task of an organ of the MZE “Section of Structural Policy and External Relations”. A spokesman Tomáš Loskot informed about it. The Section will be headed by a newly established vice-ministress Hana Heidlerová who worked at the Ministry of Finances in the previous period. The Section is divided into the Structural sector led by a head-manager Martin Fantyš with departments: Rural Development and Ecology; Managing Authority of OP; Managing Authority of HRDP; and into the Sector of External Relations led by a head-manager Andrea Pondělíčková with Departments: Relations to the EU; Trade and International Cooperation; and Foreign Protocol and Propagation
