Government approved MZe report; biofuels will cost milliards

The government approved today the Ministry of Agriculture’s report on biofuels program from which beside others it results that a support of biofuels by a consumption tax relief should spend about milliard crowns yearly from the state budget. The areal addition of biofuels in fuels is about to start in 2007. Monika Klapková from the press division of government it said to the CTK. If 200 000 ton of methyl ester of rape oil (MEŘO) added in fuel oil and two million hectoliters of biospirit added in petrol be spent over year inland, according to the report the support will reach 4,6 milliard crowns. According to the Ministry of Agriculture biofuels without the support are not competitive. The return premium of consumption tax should be 11,84 crowns per liter of biospirit and 9,95 crowns per liter of MEŘO.

State Forests are managed by a new man

The general director of the state enterprise Forest of the Czech Republic Vladimír Blahuta end in the firm yesterday. The management of the enterprise which owns a half of forests in the country will be overtaken by the assistant manager for trade, marketing and strategy František Koníček. The Blahuta’s callback the Minister of Agriculture Jan Mládek explained by the need to change commissions for forests works. Till this time the enterprise has not kept the law on public commissions which the antitrust office does not like.

Brusel fines us 1,6 milliard crowns for “overproduction” of milk and food reserves

Citizen of the Czech Republic have still not realized how problematic our membership in the European Union is. The government arranged very bad conditions of admission in the EU and thousands of Brussels bureaucrats try to do the best so that the bigger (economically the most powerful) EU states were in favourable position. Especially new member states are in a position of uneven, half-colonial, bananas republic. There are evidences every day. In last days there was a turn-up about the problem that the Czech Republic becomes a space for waste, especially from Germany. The CR government is not able to solve the problem and prevent the import of thousands tons of waste. With it the almost cheapest passage of west camions in our highways is connected. Again the governments not able to place former custom officers and police at borders to collect road fee and do not let the camions with communal and other waste go to our area. The last “hit” is the assessment of fines for exceeding of production milk quotas and for excessive food resources.

Agricultural Union estimates profit at 4,5 mld

According to the Agricultural Union’s (ZS) estimation Czech farmers earned about 4,5 milliard crowns last year, which is in comparison with the last year a fall by 4,1 mld CZK. Above all higher supports and savings shared in profit because takings for decisive commodities decreased by 13,5 percents to 71,9 milliard. Miroslav Jirovský, the chairman of the ZS committee reported it at a meeting in Větrný Jeníkov in Jihlava region. From investigation realized by the Union in 543 enterprises with the acreage 907  000 hectares it results that profit per one hectare of agricultural land moved about 1280 crowns last year. One year ago farmers earned 2456 crowns.
