Mělník wants to sell or rent big part of town forests
Mělník wants to sell or rent 145 hectares of forest from the total number of 227 hectares which it still owns. It wants to get rid of own forest stand in cadastres of neighbouring municipalities Tuhaň, Tišice and Libiš. It wants to use the money obtained by sale or rent further in care for remaining forests in its cadastre. Representatives of the town-hall and town company Forests and public green of the town Mělník said it to journalists today. According to the mayor Miroslav Neumann, the future use of forests in cadastres of neighbouring municipalities has been thought of for a long time. Finally the variant to sell or to rent the forests won because they are a burden for town cash and do not bring any economic effect.
France started vaccinating poultry
France step up to a massive vaccination of poultry against the bird flu virus in a range of Atlantic coast. There are migration tracks of wild birds which should infect domestic poultry. Sanitarists plan to vaccinate as many as million pieces of poultry in three departments. However, a number of domestic birds, which should get the vaccine, has not been known yet exactly yesterday because some departments wanted to prefer other prevention actions. Concretely, to close poultry in indoor space.
Four expert directors of Forest CR appointed
The state enterprise Forests of the Czech Republic (FČR) has four new expert directors. Also recently called-off general director of the enterprise Vladimír Blahuta is among them. Other new top managers are Vladimír Veselý (45), Václav Třeštík (42) and George Jankovic (55). New directors were appointed on Moday by the encharged general director of the FCR František Koníček, reprted the spokeswoman of FCR Alexandra Křižková. The FCR owns about a half of forests in the CR. The personal changes, according to Křižková, are connected with efforts of the enterprise to stabilize the system of ordering public commissions and the firm economy.
CR has spent financial resources from Program Sapard
According to the Ministry of Finance’s information, the Czech Republic has finished drawing financial resources from the pre-accession program EU Sapard (a special pre-accession program for agriculture and rural development). The program Sapard was passed at the EU summit in Berlin in March 1999 as a pre-accession instrument to help candidate countries to access in the European Union. Officially the program Sapard was opened in the Czech Republic in 2000.
