Milk could return back to bags in several years
Milk could return from boxes and PET bottles back in bags in several days. As in other branches in package industry as well materials and shapes, which were popular in bygone years, comes to market again.
Prices of chicken decrease due to bird flu
The Czech Statistic Office confirms, on base of its hundredth regular investigation, that chickens in shops decrease in price significantly. Birds flu, although it has not been still in the CR, invoked price decrease in chickens. In the tenth week it fall to 48,49 crown per kilogram in the first chop. A week ago the statistics reported the price 50,31 crown and in the last week of the last year 51,51 crowns per kilogram.
Improve welfare and protection mainly in layers and broilers
The European Commission prepared an internet survey at the end of the year to find out opinions of the EU citizens of welfare (well-being, good living conditions) and protection of farm animals.
The Czech Republic is in threat of sugar production fall
The Czech Republic can lose a part of with Brussels negotiated quota for sugar production. It is claimed by the representative of agricultural committee of the Parliament Miloslav Kučera in his today's written interpellation to the Prime Minister Paroubek. According to Kučera, since the first July this year a possibility of sale of the national quota for sugar production opens to the European Commission.
