Skanska DS wants to build tarmacadam plant in Jihlava industrial zone

The company Skanska DS wants to build a tarmacadan of bitumen mixtures in Jihlava industrial zone. Yearly it should produce about 60 000 tons of asphalt mixture for repairs of road surfaces. Influence of traffic on environment is now examined by a regional authority. It results from data on web pages of the region. Construction companies strive to build new tarmacadam plants due to estimated large repairs because more than a half of roads in the region is in a bad state. However, the intentions are disliked by people from surroundings. The ramacadam plant in Jihlava should arise on 1,9 hectares of land in neigbourhood of firms in Hruškovy Dvory, near a road of 2nd class.

Sugar touched the five-month minimum

Sugar got in yesterday´s trading at New York Board of Trade (NYBOT) at the five-month minimum on base of a report of the International Sugar Organization that the world supply of t his commodity are coming up to demand. Information on a favourable crop comes from Brazil and India. According to estimation of Brazil statistic agency IBGE the sugar crop in Brazil this year should increase from 422,9 million tons in last year to 446 million tons in 2006. At one moment yesterday the sugar contract with supply in July fell as much as by 23 cents to 14,86 cents for pound, the less value since the 12th January. At the end the sugar closed the séance at NYBOT with 15,22 cents for pound.

Czech poultry is guarantee of quality

It is pertinent to point at the fact that in international competition Czech meat and poultry product will stand but that they are really unobjectionable in terms of health. It can be confirmed also by organs of state veterinary control. This fact was till this time stated by all missions of checking organs of the European Union, concretely from DG SANCO. Almost it would be possible to say that it is wasting of time to declare what already our consumers know well. It is pertinent to refer that not only Czech poultry meat and poultry products will stand in international competition but also they are really unobjectionable in terms of health.

New head of Lesy asserts that he will bring the firm through crisis

The State enterprise Lesy CR, one of the largest firm in the country, will face a principal changes. They are prepared by František Koníček who was, despite a criticism of right-wing politicians, appointed on Monday at the head of Lesy by the Minister of Agriculture of finishing cabinet, Jan Mládek (ČSSD). Nevertheless, problems do not lie in economy: last year it reached in takings 7,3 milliard crowns the profit 469 millions. Robert Kvapil, a head of marketing department confirmed it to Hospodářské Noviny. However, Lesy has to now start for the first time in its history – to close contracts with private firms according to the law on ordering public commissions. Just avoiding of the mentioned law led to a criticism of old contracts by Brussels and subsequently they were cancelled also by the antimonopoly office.
