Government approved proposal to initiate execution of company SETUZA

In the government decree from the 15th of November, 2006 it was decided that the Subsidiary and Guarrantee Rural and Forestry Funds, a.s. (“PGRLF”), whose the only shareholder is the Czech Republic and which has outstanding debts in the company Setuza whose height exceeds four milliard Czech crowns and which the debtor admitted in writing on the 23.4.2004, will put forward a proposal to initiate execution to recover these outstanding debts of the company SETUZA, a.s.

Euro-representatives rejected attempt at changes in EU agricultural policy

Euro-representatives rejected changes in agricultural policy of the European Union today which were suggested by the European Commission and partially also by EU member states. The Commission would like all member states to be able to shorten all direct payments as much as by 20 percent and to use them for example for rural development. The total EU expenditures for agricultural policy should be subject to evaluation of economic expedience. The EU agricultural policy has been a sprinter in eye to many politicians for a longer time, above all in new member states, and to economists who still struggle in vain for its reform. The Union gives a substantial part of its budget for agricultural dotations; however, the production is not efficient and is significantly redundant. It complicates a role of exporters from third countries which did not have a chance to compete in goods price of which is created by dotations.

According to scientists struggle to stop deforestation of planet is obviously successful

An international team of scientists in its newest study expressed belief that compared to presumptions the struggle to stop deforestation of our planet is obviously successful. Among countries where in recent years reserves of woos in forests increased also the Czech Republic is listed. By contrast number of trees decreases still in Brazil and Indonesia which are a habitat of ones of the most important tropical rain forests of the world. This time the experts in their research took into account not only the extent of forested areas but also the mentioned wood reserves, a volume of bio-mass (all organic mass come into existence by means of photosynthesis or mass of animal origin) and an absorption of carbon dioxide which according to many specialists causes global warming. According to them the results show that evidently the world gets near “the break point” meaning the end of deforestation.

Právo: Thanks to new tenders profit of Lesy CR will grow by hundreds of million

Thanks to new tenders, which the state enterprise Lesy CR started to evaluate, a yearly profit of the enterprise will grow by hundreds of millions crowns and financial yields would be higher as much as by one milliard crowns. In interview for today's Právo the general director of state enterprise František Koníček said it. Koníček is neither afraid of impeachment of the new tenders. According to him they are in frame of state administration an absolute unique with its demonstrativeness and transparency. Envelopes are opened and read in public. Moreover, they are and will be free to inspection of any interested person, Koníček said. After opening of envelopes the own evaluation of offers will follow in viewpoint of fulfillment of qualifying and formal criteria and price which will be led by pentamerous commission of LCR.
