Temelín is not dangerous, experts agreed
Temelín nuclear power station is not an exemption in common safety standards. This is a result of investigation carried by a commission from an international organization of nuclear power station operators. Willie Waddell, a chief of the experts’ mission, said it to journalists today. The group examined organization and management, maintenance, technical support, and chemistry in Temelín this week. The check continued on an audit two years ago. At that time experts recommended to improve above all work safety, maintenance and communication with suppliers.
Foresters set off for trees
On the contrary, businessmen offer to South-Bohemians black and ping symbols of Christmas. It’ s high time going in a forest for X-mas trees, said workers of town forests in Písek. “Every Christmas we supply about sixteen hundred pieces of trees on the market. We have them from our plantations and from cleanings. Besides spruces also pine trees and firs. We have not change prices for several years”, said a growing technician pf forests in Písek Václav Záme˙ník. Foresters began to sell trees directly in Písek yesterday and than in several gamekeeper’s houses. Their average price is one hundred crowns; they are divided by a height to 150 centimeters and over this measure. The most expensive is a silver spruce which is offered for 300 crowns.
