Money from EU for countryside can not be let lie waste
The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič (ODS) within negotiation with representatives of the Agrarian Chamber CR mentioned that he would like to set right a situation which was caused by his predecessor Milena Vicenová. She stopped preparations for start of the Rural Development Program which is financed from the EU funds. Jan Veleba, the president of Agrarian Chamber CR confirmed it yesterday to Halo noviny. If the former ministress Vicenová did not hold the whole affair back, our farmers would be able to ask for these subsidies from the EU funds already in April. So, if the minister Gandalovič put the affair in motion, farmers will be able to ask for the subsidies in May and June, said Veleba.
Vine-growers: Harvest of grapes were lower last year, but high-quality
Last year's harvest were according to statistics of domestic vine-growers lower considering a volume but high-quality. An average sugar content was 21,2 degrees which is the most since 1995 when this data started to be monitored. A yield of must grapes year-on-year fell by 0,7 ton to 3,7 tons per hectare. It is by one third less than the average over last ten years is. It was reported by a secretary of the profession Vine-Growers Union CR Martin Půček.
Gandalovič: Harvest of windbreaks will last at least half-year
Trees fell after a windstorm will lie in some forest for about a half-year. The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič said it to readers of iDNES.cz in an on-line interview. The windstorm causes windbreaks of trees in a total volume of almost ten million cubic meters. The readers were interested especially in how it would continue commissioning to the company Lesy CR. “Considering works for removal of the calamity, commissions have to be entered very cautiously, mainly considering the instable situation in this area of economy”, said the minister Gandalovič. In forests which are afflicted by the calamity the most the emergency conditions are set forth from the last weekend to the 5th February. However, it can last maximally 30 days. “In this time it is not absolutely possible to harvest the calamity”, Gandalovič said.
Lesy ČR decided on a way of commissioning of processing the calamity
Processing of the calamity in areas where the government of the CR set forth emergency conditions will be solved in accordance with the law 137/2006 beyond a regime of the law on public commissions. Tomáš Vyšohlíd, a spokesman of the Lesy of the Czech Republic (LČR) informed on it today. In his opinion LČR coordinating with the Ministry of Agriculture CR had decided on a way of commissioning of processing the calamity in areas with the set emergency conditions that only calamity works will be entered in form of a simple supply proceeding of compact commissions. Generally it will be dealt with contract territorial units (further (CTU) or their parts (calamity blocks). The whole procedure is shortened to a time minimum, in terms of need of immediate start of works for removal of the calamity.
