National Allocation Plan of the Czech Republic for years 2008-2012

In frame of this plan 86,8 million permits for emission of carbon dioxide will be allotted to 399 Czech industry enterprises yearly. This proposal still is not completely definitive and can be changed according to results of public negotiation which will take place in following thirty days. After negotiation and elaboration of suggestions NAP will be put forward to the CR government and subsequently it will be submitted to the final approval by the European Commission in Brussels.

Students of forestry will help to ill children

Students of the 3rd year and the management of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment of the CULS together with management of the Faculty Hospital in Motol invite at a handover of gift cheque to the Children Surgical Clinic of Charles University, 2nd Medical Faculty. A spokesman of the Faculty of Forestry Lubomír Šálek informed on it and added that a ceremonial handover will take place on Wednesday the 6th of June 2007 at 15 o’clock in the hospital in Motol, in a place in front of the Head Office building. Money determined for the Children Surgical Clinic is from resources of students and a contribution of the Faculty of Forestry and Environment. The handover will be realized in forestry atmospherewithin sound of waldhorns presented by Trubačský půlkruh, students of the faculty. After the handover a press release will take place.

Eco-festival on the topic Responsible consumption starts tomorrow

On Tuesday the 5th of June 2007 ECO-FESTIVAL 2007 will take place at the Square of Peace from 10:00 to 18:30. Jana Krčmářová from the association of ecological organizations Green Circle (Zelený kruh) which is together with a city quarter Prague 2 and a company CENIA (Czech Information Agency of Environment) a coordinator of this world-wide action to the World Day of Environment informed on it. The festival will be opened by the Minister of Environment Martin Bursík, the Mayoress of city quarter Prague 2 Jana Černochová, and a directress of Green Circle Miloslava Stejskalová. A topic of Eco-festival is Responsible consumption.

New way of sale of wood: billion losses

The state will lose at least two billion crowns yearly if a new conception of trade with wood is enforced as it is proposed by the present management of the state enterprise Lesy of the Czech Republic and the Ministry of Agriculture. It results from an analysis of economic impacts of so called one-year tenders which was worked out for the late management of state forests by the company Ernst&Young and which Aktuálně.cz keeps at disposal.
