Statistics start to map actual state of Czech Agriculture

The Czech Statistic Office (ČSÚ) starts a wide investigation in these days with an aim to map actual structure of Czech agriculture. A content of investigation called ZEM 2007 will be both data about acreage and use of managed land and numbers of farm animals and about a number and a structure of workers, agricultural machines and facilities and other information as ecological management, non-agricultural activities in frame of rural development and so on, Ladislav Pištora from a press office of ČSÚ informed ČTK today.

Government approve subsidies for forestation of agricultural land

Ilona Chalupská, a directress of department of communication of the Ministry of Agriculture informed today that an approved statutory order governs conditions for providing subsidies to support forestation of agricultural land which are introduced in the Rural Development Program for period 2007 - 2013. A main aim of this order is to set conditions for providing subsidies in frame of measures for sustainable use of forest land by means of first forestation of agricultural land.

Also individuals will be sanctioned for cartel

Criminal sanction of individuals for cartel action is included in the present proposal of Criminal Code which was prepared by the Ministry of Justice. A department of external relations of the Office for the Protection of Competition (ÚOHS) informed today that a relevant article was included in the text on base of suggestions of the Office which supports criminal prosecution of cartelists.

Ivan Ottis: Bio-components will raise price of rock oil maximally by 20 hallers

After months of postponements and discussions, from the 1st of September a bio-component - methyl ester of rape oil (MEŘO) starts to be added in diesel oil. We interviewed Ivan Ottis, a chief of the refinery Paramo, a member of directorship of Unipetrol for branch refinery and a chairman of the Czech Association of Petroleum Industry and Trade (ČAPPO), on an attitude of refineries towards bio-fuels.
