Říman: Admixing of bio-component in diesel will not damage motor

Admixing of small amount of bio-component in diesel, which is obligatory from Saturday in the Czech Republic, will not damage diesel motors. Czech and European norm consider fuel with admixture of methyl ester to five percents as still diesel oil. The minister of Industry and Trade Martin Říman said it to journalists today. He reacted to information that admixing of bio-components can damage a motor. “A norm allows admixing to five percents. European producers agreed on it”, Říman said. By admixing of bio-admixture in this volume diesel oil does not change its characters.

Virus of bird flu H5N1 has been founded out on south-Russian farm

More than 400 chickens died and more than 400 were destroyed. The virus was founded out on a farm in Krasnodarsk region. Bird flu was confirmed for the first time in Siberia in 2005; other centers than more westward, however, mostly far from Moscow. Last year cases of bird flu were recorded on 93 localities in Siberia and in southern Russia, especially in northern Caucasus near borders with Georgia and Azerbaijan. Several cases were reported also in surroundings of Siberian Novosibirsk and Omsk.

New deputy minister for conservation of nature and landscape is František Pelc

The Minister of Environment and vice-chairman of government Martin Bursík introduced in a function his deputy minister and a director of section for conservation of nature and landscape of the Ministry of Environment RNDr. František Pelc. Pelc replaces in this function RNDr. František Pojer who stays in the resort and from now he will manage the Agency for Nature Conservation of and Landscape Protection of the CR (AOPK).

Infection situation is good meanwhile

Other centers of foot-and-mouth-disease do not occur in Great Britain. There are only two. Announced and made arrangements against this dangerous infection of even-toed ungulates are set to 15.9. After that if there are not problems, the European Commission considers about their total cancellation. Even in case of aviar influenza - bird flu - the situation seems to be consolidated. In our republic there are no suspicious deaths reported a t this time. Therefore also the State Veterinary Administration of the CR considers cancellation of unexpired extraordinary veterinary measures, especially in a sense that it will be possible to organize poultry shows.
