Championship of Europe at carrier's rides in Klokočov

After onlooker-successful first international championship of cold-blooded horses in combined competitions, which were organized by Lesy SR, s.p., the Horse Breeders Union of Slovakia and the Association of Carters of Slovakia in a Muráň norik breeding centre in Dobšiná and in which competitors from organizing country, Poland and the Czech Republic participated, this year was organized by the Czech Republic. Because similar competitions take place minimally in Europe, the main organizer, the Association of Unions of horse breeders in the CR (ASCHK), decided to realize this year' s competitions in a form of the first official European Championship.

World top bartenders met in Prazdroj

Seven top bartenders from Europe and Israel visited Pilsner brewery yesterday to get to know more about Pilsner beer and its culture. They were winners of national rounds of the competition Pilsner Urquell Master Bartender which is organized by Pilsner Prazdroj. “Winners of competitions from Finland, Belgium, Denmark, Norway, Israel, Germany and Greece came. In Pilsen they perform an exhibition”, said a marketing director of Prazdroj Luboš Kastner. Twenty-one-year old Erik Jönsson from Norway excelled in beer tapping with huge diligence. He did not allow so that the beer would owerflow. After that he hit the right rate.

Original Czech breeds are bred mainly for genes

Rivers of visitors at this year's agri-saloon Země živitelka (Earth bread-winner) aimed at an exposition of sheep and goats. Why? The animals obtained the best assessment, Golden spike, in a category animal production. Zdeněk Vališ found out at the agri-saloon why these sheep and goats are so interesting. The golden spike was bestowed for a collection of breeds ranked in gene resources. “It means the original Valaška, Šumava sheep, white short-haired goat and brown short-haired goat”, Antonín Vejčík, a vice-chairman of the Union of sheep and goat breeders in the CR and assistant professor at the Agricultural Faculty of South-Bohemian University explained to Radia Praha. According to Antonín Velčík it is dealt with original Czech breeds which are, unfortunately, endangered. Their number is dramatically low.

Towns against Bursík: We don't want returnable bottles!

An ekological comission of Union of towns and municipalities call on the MInistry of Environment to abandon the plan to introduce advance payments for PET bottles and beverage cans. “We appeal to the ministry to abandon the mentioned intention to introduce advance-payment system of beverage covers”. It is written in a resolution of the Commission of Environment of Presidium of Union of towns and municipalities which the editors Aktuálně.cz has disposable. The union associates more than 2,6 thousand of towns and municipalities in which three quarters of inhabitants of the republic live.
