EC will suggest to increase share of green energy also according to HDP
The European Commission will suggest to dividing the plan of increase of share of energy from renewable resources among EU member states also according to their gross domestic product. The Commission wants to propose so that a fifth compared to the present 8,5 percent come from ecological resources including wind and sun shine by the year 2020. Tom Hawes from a department of energy commission said it today. According the proposal a share of so called green energy would increased till 2020 by 11,5 percents. A half of this increase, so 5,75 percents, will refer to each EU member state. The second half will be divided according to a gross domestic product. “All member states will significantly take part in the task. None will rest”, Howes reported.
MŽP: Novel introducing advance payments for PET bottles will be next year
The Ministry of Environment (MŽP) took a delay in preparation of amendment of act on containers which should introduce advance payments for one-shot PET bottles and cans in the Czech Republic. While originally MŽP counts on finishing the novel this year, now it speaks about a half on next year. However, food firms do not agree with introduction of advance payments. They argue that they would have to invest billions crowns which would projects in higher prices of beverages. Also sellers area against it; according to them the advance payments would cause big difficulties mainly in small shops. “MŽP has asked for a change of term of submission (of the novel on packages) to the government. Partly we will put forward a law on wastes to a public discussion in a month and to the government till the end of January, and partly it is necessary to complete many studies to the amendment of act on packages”, Jakub Kašpar, a spokesman of MŽP said to ČTK.
MZe: By reduction of endowments for farms CR would lose 40 percents of direct payments
The Czech Republic would lose as much as 40 percent of direct payments by reduction of endowments for large firms which are a basic supports paid to farmers after accession in the EU. At today’s seminar on agrarian policy it was mentioned by the Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič. According to him the Czech Republic, which would be one of the most affected country, is going to protest hard against the intention. The European Commission in a revision of agrarian policy considers the large reduction of endowments for big agricultural farms. The reduction would affect the most the farms which have got more than 300 000 Euos yearly from the Union, so more than eight million crowns. In this case, according to the commissioner for agriculture Mariann Fisher-Boel farms could lose as much as 45 percent of money from the EU.
Lesy CR: fights for billions
Forestry firms taking part in tenders of the state enterprise Lesy České republiky decided attack most of the tenders at the Office for Protection of Competition. Above all it is dealt with localities where the firm will the harvested wood also trade themselves. The firms attacked all tenders except four. In localities where the wood trade will go directly through Lesy it is possible, according to a spokesman of the enterprise, to close already third of selective proceedings and to sign the contracts. The Antimonopoly Office should decide on the first objections at first at the beginning of next year. Till that time Lesy will have not closed new contracts. Obviously they will use an option for the first quarter on the next year which this years contracts enable.
