Pieces of ice fly in frost from wind power stations
A death trap was under wind powers stations near Pavlov in Jihlava region last week. Half-meter pieces of ice flied away from propellers rotating in hundred and fifty meters height. The situation can repeat several times in winter. There is a road near the vanes, that's why the risk is now dealt with by the police. They want so that traffic signs warning against the danger would be installed on the road. “An image that such a piece of ice with weight of several kilograms would hit a foot-passenger or fell on a front window of going car is dreadful”, says a regional representative Zdeněk Ryšavý (ČSSD) who sent journalists a report on flying pieces of icing. According to them it is another reason for maximal reduction of building-up of vanes.
Share and prices of Czech and foreign milk products on CR market
Prices of milk products on CR market differ according to a producer and a type of business; consumers take advantage of discount actions. An analysis of position of particular milk products (cheeses, milk, yoghurts and butter) and their price has been made. A criterion was partly the price, partly the producer (in division to supranational firms, foreign forms, domestic firms, retail marks and other), and also a trade format (places where consumers go shopping) - hypermarkets, supermarkets, discounts and others. Results showed that most milk products is bought the most in hypermarkets, than in discounts, in other shops, and the least in supermarkets.
Regions will get 125 billion from Brussels
Czech regions will get about 125 billion crowns from the European Union during next six years. The European Commission (EK) approved today seven regional operational programs. On Friday a deadline for claiming the objections to individual programs will expire, however, any change is not probable. Agreements with particular regions should be signed by EC representatives on the 13th December in Prague. Particular operational programs do not copy borders of regions excepting Central Bohemia region. The Czech Republic on the occasion of a record inflow of money from union treasure divided itself into seven regions.
Emission of greenhouse gases in USA have decreased for the first time since 2001
The United States for the first time since 2001 have recorded decrease of emissions of greenhouse gases. American government informed on it on Wednesday. According to it, it was measured by 1,5 percent of exhalation gases contributing, according to most experts, to global warming less than last year. An analytical department of the Ministry of Energetics stated that emissions of greenhouse gases in 2006 decreased to 7075 million tons. The biggest part was represented by carbon dioxide (83,3 percents), methane (8,6 percents) and oxides of nitrogen (5,4 percents)
