Groups of producers will obtain endowments from Rural Development Program next year

Groups of producers providing common sale of selected agricultural commodities will achieve endowments 11 220 Euros next year. It results from an amendment of regulation which was passed by the government. The statutory rules governs conditions in frame of a measure of forming groups of producers (ZSV) which is one of the measures of Horizontal Plan of Rural Development of the CR (HRDP) for the period 2004 - 2006.

Czech fishery got green in Brussels

A Czech negotiating team significantly succeeded in European structures. The Czech Republic joined the fits wave of countries whose operation programs supporting a sector of fishery was approved by the European Union. The program should start in the spring next year and supported by a campaign to increase interest of consumers by freshwater fish.

EC suggests increasing quotas for milk production by two percents in EU

Today the European Union suggested increasing quotas for milk production by two percents from April next year. The increase by 2,84 million tons in total will be equally distributed in all 27 member states including the Czech Republic and Slovakia. An executive body of the Union reacts to increased demand in the EU as well as on global markets which pushes prices upwards. “We have recorded a steep increase of milk prices in last year and growing call appeals for increase in limits”, the Euro-commissioner for agriculture Mariann-Fisher-Boel said. “It will probably calm down the situation. Originally it was talked about five percents which would bring greater pacification from a view-point of market stabilization and development of price of milk and milk products”, the chairman of Bohemian-Moravian Dairy Industry Union, Michal Němec said to the ČTK today.
