Parliament approved amendment of veterinary act

In future owners of deer game farms will not have to transport these animals to slaughter as till this time but they can shoot them right on the farm. It results from an amendment of veterinary act which the Parliament passed in a third reading today. In frame of the novel negotiation 41 amendments were approved. One of them concerned just the slaughter of game in farm breeding.

EU states will have to publish receivers of agricultural subsidies

Till the end of April next year all member states will have to publish on the internet receivers of agricultural subsidies from the EU budget. The European Commission informed on it journalists today. Czech Ministry of Agriculture already publishes the data unlike many other EU states. Particular countries will have to publish a full name of a subsidy receiver, a municipal office under which it comes, and a postcode. This measure, on which governments of member states agreed already in past, should lead to better transparency of the Common Agricultural Policy of EU.

Due to floods it is possible to expropriate, representatives approved it

In the interest of flood protection it is possible even to expropriate. Most representatives think it. A flood novel of water law, which enables to expropriate pieces of land under dikes of polders, was approved in third reading by 159 representatives today. If also senators and the president will agree, water-managers will have a powerful tool in hands against people who obstruct planned flood-protection measures.

Price on commodities on Corn exchange grow, the most in feeding pea

Prices of all commodities tradeable on Brno’s Corn exchange in last two weeks rose. Nevertheless, except feeding pea only slightly at average by one percent point. Price of pea increased by five percents and it gets near to a margin 5700 crowns per ton. Increase of prices causes a significant lack of pea on the market, a general secretary of the exchange Karel Zezula said to ČTK today.
