MŽP refuses restraint of civil rights in principle
The Ministry of Environment (MŽP) in principle refuses a proposal of change of law on nature and landscape conservation which was brought by a group of representatives, including members of coalition parliamentary clubs. The proposal would mean an absolutely unacceptable restraint of citizen´s rights. People would lose a possibility to express effectively their opinion to various buildings in their surrounding if they are not owners of neighbouring pieces of land”, The Minister of Environment Martin Bursík warns. The proposal excludes citizen associations from participation in building proceedings.
MŽP and chief magistrates of Healthy towns will closely cooperate
The Minister of Environment Martin Bursík and the chairman of the Healthy Towns National Network Petr Řezníček signed a mutual agreement on cooperation at the end of August. A subject to the agreement is deepening of the present good cooperation and a mutual cincurrence in enforcement and promotion of principles of sustainable development at a local and regional level, above all by the help of the international program local Agenda 21. The Health Towns National Network (NSZM) pledged itself to change and propagate information connected with problems of careful development of towns and regions in which citizens actively participate.

So as Czech carp was healthy
From the 1st of August an instruction of Council No. 88/2006 comes in force. It is transposed in a public notice No. 290/2008 on veterinary requirements for animals coming from aqua-culture and aqua-culture products, and on prevention and damping of some infections of water animals which comes in force from the 3rd of September. A spokesman of the State Veterinary Administration CR (SVS) Josef Duben informed on it today and added that in this connection carps (carp KOI and common carp) will be tested for KHV – Koiherpesvirosis. “Meanwhile there are no problems in the Czech Republic with this disease in practice, therefore the investigation will be made only in case of suspicion of the infection, not as a common monitoring”, Duben told.
