Technological functions of soya proteins
A presumption for application of soya proteins in foods is a knowledge of their influence on technological characteristics. In unsuitable use the food quality can be even worsened. For example with excessive addition of soya flour in pastry a volume of bread decreases and its consistency is gummy. Also it is necessary to avoid unfavourable affecting of the product taste with use of flavour compatible with soya. Chocolate and toffee flavour can be successfully used in soya beverages. Further it is essential to be aware of the most significant function characteristics of soya proteins.
Amendment of act on limits of pesticide residua
The European Commission unified limits food contamination; in many cases it is dealt with an increase. A regulation 839/2008/EC changes the regulation 396/2005/EC (in a valid version, i.e. including change regulations), if it is dealt with maximal limits in some products and on their surface. The regulation 839/2008/EC was adopted by the Commission on the 31st of July 2008 and immediately came in force. Supplement II, III, and IV were changed. They determine maximal limits of pesticide residua in some products and on their surface.
