France and Germany: we want to support milk producer this year
France and Germany are aware of a critical situation of milk producers. Bavarian Minister of Agriculture Helmut Brunner (CSU) requires an immediate disbursement of extraordinary premium for every milked cow, minimally in an amount of 25 €. He explains his proposal with the critical situation of Bavarian milk producers who are negatively affected with a milk quotas increase.
American foulbrood spreads. It has hit already over hundred colony of bees
How many stands will have to be burnt by bee-keepers in Strakonice region – it will be clear from next examination made by the Regional Veterinary Administration. Plague of bee larvae, American foulbrood, has been found out by veterinarians in 105 colonies of bees in the region Strakonice. Ten afflicted stands are in municipalities Katovice, Krty - Hradec and Strakonice. The information about the disease is shocking for bee-keepers. “In my point of view the results are so bad owing to the fact that some bee-keepers do not take care for their colonies of bees just as they should” , Václav Matas from Strakonice told.
Government approved Conception of Agricultural Applied Research and Development by 2015
A Conception of Agricultural Applied Research and Development by 2015 concentrates on effectiveness of use of public means invested in applied research, so, larger economic and social benefits from realization of research results. At the same time the conception wants to contribute so that the public means invested in the research would bring pieces of knowledge of world level and actually needed and usable for development of Czech agrarian sector.
Verminous pneumonia
A pneumonia, a very often disease afflicted pig raisings, can have besides an infectious invader also a verminous origin. Larvae of helminths are transferred by blood in lungs and farther they penetrate in sac alveolars in a direction of trachea. In case of massive worm attack, clinical symptoms in afflicted pigs are a dyspnoea with characteristic abdominal breathing, cough, fever, apathy and a loss of appetite. Lung volume starts to grow and shows diffusion hemorrhagia. Bronchial tubes and the trachea are full of spumous grumous liquid. Neverthelee, because this kind of pneumonia mostly is not diagnosed as verminous, antibiotic treatment does not operate and often there is death. Surviving piglets underdevelop.
