Research of waxy barley use

“Innovative varieties of barley as renewable source of energy” is the name of a research project supported by a Federative Ministry of Nutrition, Agriculture and Consumer Protection, and a special agency Renewable Sources of Energy. In a development and research association of six partners from industry and science, an area of substance barley use should be solved in a three-year project. Research works are concentrated on waxy barley as a new domestic renewable source of energy. In 2008 a breeding firm Dieckmann Seeds as the first in EU trotted out with a registration of yielding perennial waxy barley.

Subsidies will relieve to waste dumps

It has been one of the biggest ecological burden in the region Znojmo for many years. However, the waste dump near Kuchařovice close to Znojmo will have disappeared for ever by the next year end. Znojmo succeeded to get European subsidy in height 77 million crowns for wastes and removal of old ecological burdens. So, over 48 million crowns will go to for recultivation of Kuchařovice dump. “The subsidies will pay approximately 90 percents of the supposed total costs for recultivation which is a maximal possible height”, a spokeswoman of Znojmo council house Denisa Šipošová outlined.

Inspection forbade sale of soft-centered cocoa tubes

The State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZIP) ordered the firm Ahold to withdraw soft-centered cocoa tubes from sale. The reason is that the tubes contain peanuts which are not written in ingredients. It is dealt with a products “Trubičky kakaové plněné” (soft-centered cocoa tubes) with weight 160 grams which were sold in Alberts and Hypernovas. The tubes are imported by Polish firm Dabro from Sezemice.

750 million crowns will support development of other small municipalities

Approximately 750 million crowns transferred from land adjustments will enable development of other 32 Local Action Groups compound of small municipalities. Besides improvement of life in the country this step of the Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič should ensure an even distribution of groups on the all territory of our republic. “750 millions will help to development of other small municipalities. It is also one of possibilities how to strengthen council budgets which the European Union deprived of money from added tax value when additionally it declared that VAT deduction in projects in frame of rural development programs is not considered as qualified expenditure”, the minister Gandalovič explains.
