Sale of agricultural machines decreases owing to crisis in the Czech Republic

The economic crisis impacts sellers of agricultural machines. In this year´s first half-year, 908 tractors were sold in the Czech Republic which is by more than third less against the last year. Also sale of harvester treshers decreased roughly by a third to 136. It results from data of the Agricultural Machines Importers Association and the Agricultural and Forestry Machines Association. From point of view of sales of agricultural machines, the last year was record. 3 097 tractors and 284 harvester treshers were sold in the Czech Republic. The president of Agrarian Chamber Jan Veleba attributes the last year´s record interest in machines to high incomes of Czech farmers in 2007.

Biofoods are the most sold in retail chains in the Czech Republic

Retail chains´s share in bio-food markets was 74 percents last year which is by 6,5 percents more than the foregoing year. The Czech bought the most bio-foods, in total for 1,332 billion crowns, in shops of retail chains last year. It is by 461 million crowns more than in 2007. Retail chains´s share in the bio-food market was 74 percents last year which is by 6,5 percents more than the foregoing year. It results from a yearbook Czech bio-food market 2009 which ČTK has disposable.

Rice shot upwards

Rice price significantly grew during yesterday´s trading on Chicago Board of Trdae and overcame an important resistance at a level of 13,5 dollar. September contract strengthened by 36,5 cents to 13,775 dollars for 100 pounds. Following resistance is at a level of 14 dollars. The cause of growth is investors´ fears of weak monsoons in India which is an important producer of the commodity which could influence also the country´s exports. Indian area Uttar Pradesh, which is the most significant area in India in light of rice growing, fumbles with drought.

Subsidiary programs have already brought more than half billion crowns to farmers

New programs in providing supports have brought 552 million crowns to 96 agricultural subjects. They were determined for reduction of interest burden in case of operation credits and security of these credits. In the program Provoz (Operation) is registered by PGRLF 162 received applications for 921 million CZK whereas 96 applications are approved; the program Zpracovatel – Provoz (Processor – Operation) it registered 14 received applications for 518 million CZK. The government allotted a financial aid in height of 2,6 bil. CZK for support provided by the Subsidiary and Guarantee Rural and Forestry Fund (PGRLF).
