Members called upon government to cancel tender of Lesy ČR for forest works

The Chamber of Deputies called upon the government to cancel a selective proceedings of the state enterprise Lesy ČR for forestry works and sale of timber today. Tender conditions were criticized especially by the Greens and KDU-ČSL according to whom for example small and medium firms are being damaged which would like to apply for the commission. The selective proceedings were stopped by the Antimonopoly Office already at the beginning of March. The members supported all raised proposals to the government and Lesy ČR today. The chairman of KDU-ČSL Cyril Svoboda among others suggested that the government would guarantee that rules of the commission would not enable a rise of monopoly on the side of suppliers of forest works, and that it would guarantee that the projects would support small and medium firms.

Ministry of Agriculture lends logo KLASA rightfully

The Ministry of Agriculture has acquired a right to the logo of quality foodstuffs KLASA from the advertising agency NOESIS Advertising.s.r.o. on base of regular contract for work. The Ministry of Agriculture denies that some other subject would have sole rights to use the logo KLASA and will consider legal steps against those who would lay an unjustified claim to use and lending of the logo. The Ministry of Agriculture negates in principle that the company ŠTROB ŠIRC & SLOVÁK, s.r.o. is an exclusive subject authorized to use and to grand approval with further use of the logo KLASA.

Announcement of open call appeal of Program of Swiss-Czech cooperation

On the 16th of April, 2010, the Ministry of Environment of the Czech Republic as a mediating subject in cooperation with the Ministry of Finances of the Czech Republic announce an open call appeal for submission of projects intentions for granting of a grant from the Program of Swiss-Czech cooperation in frame of the Priority 2 – Environment and infrastructure – Scope areas 2.1. – Renewal and modernization of basic infrastructure and environment improvement for: Objective 2 – Increase energy efficiency and improve quality of air (reduction of emissions of green house gases and other dangerous emissions).

The company Danone withdrew temporarily its applications put forward to the European Food Safety Authority (EFSA) for approval of health statement for products Activia and Actimel. It waits for a specification of criteria rules for the approval. The biggest yoghurt producer in the world, French company Danone asserts that hangs in the statement about health benefits within eating of products Actimel and Activia. In frame of European regulation process concerning nutrition and health statements, EFSA has planned a meeting at beginning of June where rules should be cleared which should enable to pass judgment on Danone statement for European market.
