Poppy field reduced in the Czech Republic, growers were crushed by weather, too

The Czech Republic will maintain primacy of the biggest world producer of food poppy this year. That even in spite of farmers sowed smaller areas with his plant than the last year and floods unfavourable weather raged on the fields in the spring. According to Petr Šimek, a secretary of the association Český mák (Czech poppy) covered almost eighty Czech poppy growers, farmers sowed approximately 51 thousands of hectares this year which is about two and half thousands less than last year. However, nor all these fields will give a poppyhead crop. Spring floods and unfavourable weather surfaced negatively in Moravian regions, above all in the region Olomouc, South Moravia and the region Zlín.

Penta swallowed Polish frozen food producer Iglokrak

The investment group Penta bought 100 percentage in Polish producer and distributor of frozen foods and ice cream Iglokrak Group. Penta informed on it in a press release, however, it did not published a price. Penta likes Poland; his is already its eight investment in the country. The transaction was approved after Polish antimonopoly office also by its Polish counterpart. Penta closed the purchase agreement of the company Iglokrak in February this year. “Our aim is to consolidate and restructure all the segment of frozen products and their distribution”, an investment director of Penta, Rafal Sosna stated.

Milk delivery automatic machine from Czech producer for Czech farmers

The company Frigera belongs among traditional Czech producer of cooling devices. An aim of our products is maximally meet needs of customers. The cooling devices of the company Frigera are determined for areas of health care, agriculture, engineering and food industry. In connection with the current situation in the milk buy-out area we developed milk delivery automatic machine which can be, especially for smaller farmers, an interesting possibility to solve this situation. The device has a form of industrial cooling with high-quality insulation and offers many interesting functions to its operators.

Coalition agreement among ODS, TOP 09 and VV

Publication of a part of coalition agreement concerning the country, agriculture and forestry. The coalition will reduce bureaucratic apparatus in the department to decrease budgetary expenditures and so that citizens, entrepreneurs and farmers will suffer less from procrastinations in negotiations with administrative. The coalition will solve up the land registration and will prepare settlement of rights of owners and tenants. An integral part of this step is also a completion of agricultural restitutions. It considers an access of agricultural land to authorized owners and a privatization of the remaining land in the state property as a necessary part of rural development.
