Minister Fuksa introduced closest colleagues and new functioning of office

Only two deputy ministers come newly in the team of Minister Ivan Fuksa, Roman Boček and Juraj Chmiel. Expert deputy ministers Oldřich Černoch, Karel Tureček, Jiří Novák and Aleš Kendík stay, only their competence changes slightly. The minister Ivan Fuksa brings at the position of first deputy minister a former deputy minister at the Ministry of Transport and Brno patriot Roman Boček. At the Ministry of Agriculture, he will be responsible for the office administration, especially the department of foundation activities, information and communication technologies or registers.

Aware of checks and possible fines!

New Union regulations determining how many fattened chickens can be kept per square meter came in force from 1.1.2010. The State Veterinary Administration of the ČR informed breeders about this fact already three years ago, for the last time in April 2010. From June it is possible to impose sanctions for non-keeping these regulations. Breeders were obliged to pass a training in these regulations and to obtain a qualification certificate for care for chickens raised for meat issued by the Ministry of Agriculture.

EC fined producers of feed admixtures for more than 30-year cartel

The European Commission imposed a fine of almost 176 million Euro (roughly 4,6 billion crowns) to producers of admixtures, concretely phosphates, in feeding mixtures for animals today. Six firms from the whole European Union have formed a cartel for more than three decades. The biggest guilt in arranging prices and other negotiation which disturbed economic competition is carried by the company Tessenderlo Chemie N.V. which has to pay a fine of almost 84 million Euro (roughly 2,1 billion crowns), so almost a half of the whole fine.

Farmers started to harvest rape in region Roudnice, cereals have to still wait

This year´s, harvest in the region Ústí started near Roudnice in Litoměřice area at the weekend. Local farmers started to harvest rape in several tens of hectares, moreover, according to first news the crop looks not bad. However, in rest of the region the harvest will start later, above all cereals will need to ripen. A chairman of the regional agrarian chamber František Loudát said it to ČTK today. The share of rape increases annually, for farmers it is more lucrative than cereals.
