Zetor jumped out of half-billion loss into profit of 76 millions

A group Zetor Group achieved a consolidated profit before taxation 76 million crowns in first half of this year. It was in a half-billion loss last year over the same period. The tractor producer published its economic results in a press release today. The total revenues increased by more than 11 percents in the first half of 2010 against the same period in 2009. The total economic results over 2009 have not been published by the firm yet.

Meat-combine Skaličan wants balanced results after years of losses

The meat-combine Skaličan from Česká Skalice wants to reach balanced operating results after three foregoing loss-making years. The firm would like minimally to repeat last-year´s 457 million crowns in operations. The plant had a loss of 19 million crowns last year and according to today´s decision of general meeting it transferred it on the account of last-years losses. Skaličan is concerning the property a part of holding Rabbit Trhový Štěpánov since the end of 2007. While the Skalice enterprise suffered a loss of 67 million crowns in 2007, new owners succeeded to reduce it to minus 27 million crowns the year before last.

Minister Fuksa has activated Anti-bureaucratic commission. He promises that it is just beginning

The Minister Ivan Fuksa reactivated the work of Anti-bureaucratic commission of the Ministry of Agriculture today which was not in the interest focus of the department management. He participated in the Comission´s meeting;, he confirmed a mandate to its members, and above all he gave sufficient competency for efficient work. “A reduction of rampant and redundant bureaucracy is a natural requirement of entrepreneurs and my priority and mainly an absolutely rightful requirement of farmers who need as many time as possible for their own work and not to fight with official red tape and forms filling.”

Farmers will harvest cereals at night owing to heat in central Russia this year

Russian offices brought suggestions how agricultural areas of the central Russia should cope up with extreme heats. According to CBC News, the country was hit by the biggest heat and drought since Stalin age epoch this year. Russian government declared emergency in 19 cereal-growing regions. The reason is extreme heats and drought troubling the central Russia. In total the weather damaged crop on 12 percents of agricultural land. A curiosity happened in an area 380 kilometers southwards from Moscow. In an effort to prevent damage of machines the offices in Oryol Oblast recommended to harvest cereals only at night.
