French-German axis will not support increase of subsidies for new members countries

New EU member states objected to against a common proposal for a reform of Union agricultural policy below which France and Germany are signed. Paris and Berlin does not want so that newcomers in the EU take higher agricultural subsidies in the future. Minister of agriculture of France and Germany in a common proposal, which was made last week, effort so that farmers from new member countries would get in frame of the Common Agrarian Policy (CAP) from the Union cash less financial means than their colleagues from the EU-15 countries also in the future.

Interest in milk from milk automatic machine fell in summer

Farmers in Olomouc region do not consider enlargement of sale places of milk from automatic machines so far. The sale of fresh milk from the machine has hugely fallen down during holiday. It ended on fifth of volume against the beginning of this year when milk machines started to conquer the Czech Republic. Has the interest wave in the news already definitely rushed past? With the summer end, farmers announce revival of the demand and assure that they want to retain the automatic milk machines. At least those in Olomouc.

Fruit crop in South Moravia is worse than last year, the least amount is of apricots

This year´s crop of most kinds of fruit in South Moravia is worse than last year; harvested fruits are also of less quality. The worse situation is in apricots. According to preliminary estimations the harvest was by three quarters lower than last year. Jiřina Homolová from the Fruit Growing Union of Moravia and Bohemia announced it to ČTK. Bad harvest was confirmed also by addressed farmers. According to them, the below-average crop is caused above all by this year´s bad weather. While 3 800 tonnes of apricots were harvested in South Moravia last year, this year it is almost 1000 tonnes. According to Homolová, also cold winter and rainy spring contributed to that, too.

Same amount of wood engraver timber will be harvested in Šumava as last year

In the National Park Šumava this year, they will harvest roughly the same amount of trees affected by wood engraver as last year, so approximately 300 000 cubic meters. A spokesman of the calamity staff Petr Kahuda said it to ČTK today. Skeptical estimations that wood engraver would damage as many as half a million cubic meters of wood, will not hold true. According to the park director, František Krejčí, the wood engraver season in Šumava slowly end with morning frosts. Already the third week, the amount of woods marked newly for harvesting decreases.
