Volume of milk sold from automatic machines decreased in South Moravia

A volume of milk sold by means of automatic milk machines has decreased by two thirds against the spring 2010 in the region South Moravia. A number of milk automats in operation is 16 at present. Nevertheless, 27 machines have been installed in the region since 2009. The data were provided to ČTK by Josef Velecký from the Regional Veterinary Administration of South Moravia today. According to Velecký, the highest increase in number of milk automats and a volume of sold milk per one machine was recorded in the spring last year. The first decrease in taking of milk from automats has been noted by farmers in South Moravia already in the spring last year. Especially a warning of hygienists against health hazards after drinking of this milk had a negative impact.

Amendment of act: there will be mess in wine marking

The Parliament prepares an amendment of viticultural law. It should change in principle marking of a wine type on bottle labels. The Protected Designation of Origin and the Protected Geographical Indication. Obviously, these two will be soon completely new obligatory elements on wine bottle labels. However, many vine-growers do not like the regulation of the European Union. A chairman of the Vine-Growers Union, Jiří Sedlo, even speaks about that customers can be very confused by the changed marking of wine.

Prices of agricultural commodities raise

Prices of agricultural commodities jumped on new maximums. A sugar price got on a thirty-year record. It is because of weather which still negatively influences the expected crop. Commodity dealers and representatives of agricultural enterprises assume that the worst impact of the actual growth of commodity prices on exchanges is still before us and that food prices will grow on. Ric Deverell, London commodity economists of the bank Credit Suisse, said to the daily Financial Times that in spite of rise in prices last year he expects a price growth also in the first half of this year.

Schwarzenberg soften. Fuksa´s plan for giant commissions of Lesy were passed despite of criticism

I still consider the whole management system of Lesy ČR as mistaken, however, the system established for many years can not be changed over night, Karel Schwarzenberg, the chief of TOP 09 explained his turn-over. The Minister of Agriculture has recorded his first victory. Ivan Fuksa´ s (ODS) Wooden book got green from the government. A conception against which many opponents declaimed lost the most important during the day: a chief of the second strongest coalition party, Karel Schwarzenberg. The government have not passed the Wooden book, but nor refused. It has take note of material of the Minister of Agriculture.
