Fish can “stink” sooner than third day

A proverbial saying about fish and guest, as regards fish, is true. If fresh fish is not right preserved, it can really rot, even earlier than in three mentioned days. And, it can mean health hazard of people. Symptoms of rotting - decomposition process - can be recognized even by a laic, of course, and generally he/she does not let to go the situation so far. However, there is a tricky danger- poisoning with histamine which does not end by death but can be quite unpleasant.

Non-publishing of price index in forestry can mean significant fall of incomes of Lesy ČR

The state enterprise Lesy ČR expresses disagreement with a fact that the Czech Statistic Office (CSO) has not published yet a price index of raw timber (owners) over the first quarter of this year. Owing to this fact, a continuity of statistic information publishing has been broken and consequently it had negative economic impact on incomes of the state enterprise. The management of Lesy ČR is convinced that there is no reason for non-publishing of raw timber price index over the first quarter.

Food-producers are afraid of stricter market regulation

The Food Chamber (FCH) dislikes an effort of supranational organizations and the EU to reduce use of deleterious substances. Food producers are afraid that the current efforts for regulation of tobacco products market can touch also the food area in the future in form of regulations of fat or sugar content or a ban of such foods. The World Health Organization (WHO) together with the European Union promotes a global strategy with aim to decrease use of deleterious substances like tobacco and alcohol.

Attitude towards load of livestock unit on grass growths

An attitude of the Private Farming Association of the CR (ASZ ČR) towards proposals for change of limit of minimal numbers of raised farm animals on permanent grass growths presented by the chairman of ASZ ČR at a round table meeting of representatives of non-government organizations on animal production organized by the Ministry of Agriculture on the May 15, 2011. The Association strictly opposed the proposed increase of the minimal load of permanent grass growth (TTP) to 0.35 to 0,5 livestock unit/ha because it supposes that this fierce increase would significantly endangered some type of farms.
