Sugar lower owing to production prospects

Nine tens of Nordmann firs for at least 50 000 crowns a thief stole from plantations of a forestry firm Dendria in Nové Město pod Smrkem in the region Liberec in last days. Now, he is in a danger of five years of prison, a police spokeswoman Ludmila Knopová informed ČTK today. According to the firm´s management the thief is a former employee. The offender has been even reputedly caught in a further theft.

Inspectors did not find out any failures in fish sale in south Bohemia

The Czech Trade Inspection (CTI) has not found out within checks of Christmas fish sale any problems according to preliminary results in South Bohemia. According to a deputy director of the CZI for South Bohemian region and Vysočina, Karel Havlíček, it has not ever happened. Sellers mistook in about five cases in Vysočina region. The inspectors started the check of Christmas sales on Tuesday and finished today.

Game will get a quality mark. It should help to consumers to orientate. The mark will be given only to a fresh, correctly hunted, and in hygienic way treated piece with an identification of the locality of origin. It was stated in a press release of the University of Veterinary and Pharmaceutical Sciences Brno whose Institute of Game Ecology participates in the introduction of the mark together with the State Veterinary Administration and the Ministry of Agriculture.

EU industrial regions miss legislative of better quality on air protection

Large industrial regions joined powers and decided to struggle against polluted atmosphere. Therefore the called upon the European Commission to come with more flexible legislative and of higher quality. Among 12 regions of seven in total European countries, which decided to improve the climate that they pollute themselves with heavy industry, there are even German regions in Ruhr Region and in the valley of Italian river Pad.
