Prices of agricultural inputs grow while commodity prices decrease

Prices of agricultural inputs grew in the first quarter this year while commodity prices decreased which can reduces profits to Czech farmers. Inputs rose in prices by 2.9 percent. It results from data published by the Czech Statistical Office today. The most significant growth was recorded in prices of breeding animal which were higher year-on-yearly by a tenth.

Poland after repeated calls informed the Czech Republic about problem foods which had appeared on the local market and in which there is a possibility that could have got also in the Czech Republic. Reputedly it was dealt with confectionery and other baked goods.

The Minister of Agriculture Petr Bendl welcomes an interruption of negotiation of a draft law on the State Land Office (SPÚ) which happened at today´s government meeting. The proposed law is important for termination of transformation of the Land Fund and a system of land offices which have operated in the structure of Ministry of Agriculture till this time.
