Customers of German supermarket found pins in baked goods and salamis. Police looks for offender

The police from South-German Offenburg searches for an unknown offender who stuck pins in foods in one of local supermarkets. Customers found out already five sharp pins with a head in various kinds of products, an agency DPA informed. Nobody have suffered an injury for the present.

Farm in Russian killed 660 000 pieces of poultry owing to bird flu

Russia announced an outbreak of bird flu on a poultry farm in Kostroma area lying about 300 kilometres north-eastward from Moscow. The farm had to liquidate more than 660 pieces of poultry, the World Organization for Animal Health (OIE) informed according to the agency Reuters today.

All VOC wines went great in inspection

All wines marked with indication VOC, so wines of original certification, meet all parameters and consumers can rely on its quality. A spokesman of the State Agricultural and Foods Inspection (SZPI) Pavel Kopřiva stated it in a press release today.

Shops no more can give plastic bags for free to purchase

Traders cannot give plastic bags for free to shopping to people from yesterday. Only small thin plastic bags can remain without charge, for example bags for baked or meat products. The new rule is introduced by an amendment of law on packages which following the legislation of the European Union is about to reduce a volume of plastic waste.
