A number of wolves in Bohemia and Moravia was no longer high at the beginning of the Middle Ages. Its area and population quite swayed and data are only fragmentary. The last wolf was shot in Bohemia in 1874 at a municipality Lipka in Šumava. In Moravia, wolves occur almost continually till 1914.

The tastiest variety of apples from the last year´s crop is the variety Angold. A tasting of apples organized by the local Research and Breeding Institute of Pomology Holovousy Ltd in Jičín region decided about it last week. The variety Angold was successful also in last years.
