Handbook on ameliorative and stabilising functions of tree species can contribute to more stable forests

An aim of new methodology for forest owners and managers is to mediate an objective view of effect of forests tree species on soil and their stabilising function and contribute in this way to creation of more stable growth mixtures and to a care of soil environment.

Food inspection found out 31.5 tonnes of illegal honey within extraordinary check

Within and extraordinary check inspectors of the State Agricultural and Food Inspection (SZPI) found out and detain in the place 31 449 kg (in total 34 943 pieces of consumer packs á 900 g) stored illegal honey marked with label of producer Včelpo spol. s r.o.

Toman: Dual quality is problem of foreign producers

According to the president of the Food Chamber Miroslav Toman, a problem of dual food quality, concerns exclusively foreign producers, not the Czech ones. The Chamber´s chief welcomes that this problem started to be dealt with by the European Union. He stated it at a conference Food Forum in Brno.

Comeback of wolves divides France

A French ministry of environment introduced its new plan to the public in February this year: to support wolf populations in the territory of their country by means of both the strict protection of them, and so far considered reintroductions. Aim? To reach a number of 500 wolves by five years. Not all are keen on it, of course.
