Occurrence of foulbrood has been successfully decreased in South Bohemia

An occurrence of foulbrood has been successfully decreased in Sought Bohemia. While there were over 30 centres of this disease in recent years yearly, veterinarians liquidated seven centres of foulbrood in the last year. An areal check of all bee colonies in 2016 helped. A director of South-Bohemian Veterinary Administration František Kouba said it to ČTK.

Yields of potatoes, maize, and sugar beet decreased in region Pardubice

A crop of potatoes, maize, and sugar beet per hectare was lower in 2017 against the year ago in the region Pardubice. ČTK found it out from data provided by the Czech Statistical Office. Determining for the yields was weather.

Veterinarians has to liquidate 26 tonnes of egg products with fipronil

Tens of tonnes of egg products containing a toxic substance fipronil will be gradually liquidated by rendering undertaking. František Kouba, a director of South-Bohemian Veterinary Administration said it to ČTK today.

Butchery in Hodonín region sold Polish chicken meat as Czech

The State Veterinary Admiistration (SVA) within a check in a small butcher shop in a district Hodonín revealed several serious breaches of regulations – among others a misleading labelling of sold chicken meat and a sale of expired guts. The breach of law on foods and the veterinary law will be solved with the operator in the framework of administrative procedure.
