Reporting duty in pollution register is coming

The Ministry of Environment CR (MŽP) warns that till the 15th February 2006 it is necessary to fulfill a reporting duty in an integrated register of pollution (IRZ). A spokeswoman of the Ministry Karolína Šůlová informed about it today. According to her, data are announced in the register by users of registered substances by the law on integrated prevention who in 2005 emitted the same or higher amount of registered substances as air pollutions or transmissions from its plant than it is stated in a government regulation on integrated register of pollution.

Food producers can ask for new state grant this year

Food processors got a chance for obtaining of grant in a new year. They can also ask for a support in frame of a new endowment title Support of processing agricultural products till 28th February. This program gathers means from the state budgets and is shared by the Ministry of Finances and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. The government agreed the program of support in a half of last year with a note that it is possible to use a sum of 210 million crowns for the year 2005.

EU decided on termination of subvention of slaughter cattle export in third countries

This decision damages purposes of farmers and sub-dealers to send cattle to slaughter in third countries; in practice it would concern mainly the Middle East, Lebanon and Egypt. This trade was repeatedly documented by CIWF as a huge torture of cattle. (CIWF – Compassion in World Farming is an international organization for protection of farm animals). A subvention for export of cattle was 41 Euro per 100 kg of animal weight, it means that with an average weight 400 – 500 kg of slaughter cattle the seller, except a payment from a buyer, got quite good second income (4920 – 6150 CZK) for a sold animal – from money of EU citizens.

Shift of acceptance of applications of eight and ninth round of Operational Program Agriculture

The Ministry of Agriculture CR (MZe) encounters suggestions from the side of expert public and shifts terms for putting forward applications for a support. A spokesman of the MZe Tomáš Loskot informed about it today. According to the Ministry the shift will enable applicants to process better and put forward their projects. The eight round of application acceptance is so shifted from the 9th – 27th January to the term the 6th – 24th February till 12:00 o’clock and will concern following measures, sub-measures and investment intentions.
