Gandalovič approved schedule of project measures of RDP

The Minister of Agriculture Petr Gandalovič approved a schedule of starting particular project measures of the Rural Development Plan for 2008. Petr Vorlíček, a spokesman of the ministry informed on it and added that the schedule had been worked out due to well-timed informedness of applicants on when receptions of applications for concrete measures will be start. “Applicants will have enough time to prepare their projects”, Vorlíček stated. A reason is also security of uniform workload of the State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SZIF) within reception of application in frame of the Rural Development Plan.

Farmers are eligible by law for compensation of damages caused by lynx

The Ministry of Environment CR (MŽP) reminds that farmers are eligible by law for a financial compensation of damages which will be demonstrably caused to farm animals by endangered kind of feline – northern lynx. According to MŽP this week a reports appeared in a local press on an alleged intention of some farmers to shoot lynxes in south-Bohemian part of Šumava and Blanský les. “They have no reason for it. The lynx is beautiful animal and except that it is endangered species in the Central Europe. Farmers are eligible for compensation, they don’t have to kill anybody”, František Pelc, a deputy of the Ministry of Environment says.

There is still not occurrence of swine fever in CR

There is still threat of the Classical swine fever (CSF) because it occurs in surrounding countries, e.g. in Germany and Slovakia in wild boars. Josef Duben, a spokesman of State Veterinary Administration CR (SVS) drew attention to it today. “The newest finding of CSF was in Slovakia near Hungarian borders. Again it was dealt with wild boars. The disease persists for example in Hungary, Romania and Croatia”, Duben stated.

Seminars on experience from Operational Program Infrastructure and how to use Operational Program Environment

Seminars organized by the State Fund of Environment are focused on evaluation of results of the Operational program Infrastructure (OPI) and on news in the recently announced Operational Program of Environment (OPŽP). Seminars determined for representatives of self-governments will take place in all 14 regions, from December 2007 to March 2008.
