Garlic for consumption sold as planting stock? New law will prevent falsification

The Chamber of Deputies discuss a new law about a circulation of seeds and planting stock at present. Only seemingly uninteresting law is an important step for improvement of conditions of garlic growing in the Czech Republic. The problematic situation on Czech garlic market is a long-term solved matter.

Pivovar Litovel brewed record 203 000 hectolitres of beer last year

Pivovar Litovel brewed record 202 995 hectolitres of beer last year. In a year-on-year comparison the brewery´s production from Litovel in Olomouc region increased almost by 16 000 hectolitres. A turnover in 2016 increased by 24 million crowns to 511 million crowns. A director of Pivoval Litovel, Lumír Hyneček, said it to ČTK today.

State has published for present the biggest call for tender for foods for people in need.

The state has published for the present the biggest call for public procurement for foods and other life needs for the poorest people in the Czech Republic. On more than 50 places it would like to distribute goods for as many as 65 million crowns with the help of European money during one year. It results from a Bulletin of public procurements and information of the Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs (MPSV).

Subsidies for sources of drinking water don´t dry, support to municipalities continues

A season of hot summer days is in full swing and many municipalities have already fight with a lack of drinking water. Therefore, mayors should not hesitate and use subsidies from the Ministry of Environment aimed at the fight with drought. Moreover, the MoE prolongs the term to which it will be possible to ask for subsidies for investigation, strengthening and building of new sources of drinking water.
