Agricultural Fund will reimburse to Agrofert subsidies approved until August 2018

The State Agricultural Intervention Fund (SAIF) will start to reimburse subsidies approved to Agrofert for a period between February 2017 when the premier Andrej Babiš (ANO) put his concern in trust funds and the last August. At that time European ordinance on conflict of interest came into force.

Failure of agricultural mission. Toman has doubts regarding cooperation with Russians

An entrepreneurial mission organized by Czech Ministry of Agriculture in Russia ended ahead of schedule. Local authorities didn´t enable a flight from Moscow to Kazan at a planned time, therefore the department decided to recall the rest of five-day programme. Almost two tens of entrepreneurs, further representatives of the Food Chamber and the State Veterinary Administration return in Prague.

System which influence plant growth is often older than plants themselves, Czech scientists discovered

Czech scientists found out that a molecular system that spreads a hormone auxin and influences plant growth generated obviously earlier than it had been supposed; or its development had started before other plants developed from algae. The results of Czech research were issued in a scientific journal Nature Plants.

Help for forest owners attacked by bark beetle calamity: Ministry of Agriculture will give them 2.5 milliard crowns for new afforestation and care for forests

The Ministry of Agriculture (MoA) will give in total 2.5 milliard crowns to non-state forest owners for moderation of bark-beetle calamity impacts. The money will enable them to afforest clearings, to care for forests, to secure its species diversity and protection against pests. A reception of applications for the supports starts today.
