Schwartz system still illegal
For a company, to hire a sole trader in future will continue to be difficult, though it will be possible. Companies will have to meet a number of requirements and pay attention to the fact that it is not supposed to provide sole traders with working tools or specify working hours. It will be only labour or service supply and delivery date that will be possible to contract. So called schwartz system, that means hiring people with a trade certificate, continues to be illegal. However, the new norm has slightly mitigated it.
CEZ demands corn at the corn-exchange in Brno for combustion in boilers
The electrical company CEZ has submitted a demand at the Corn exchange in Brno (PBB) for the corn that is not suitable for food or fodder purposes. The company intends to incinerate it as so called brown biomass in heating and power stations. For a start, 150 tons of defective corn are needed for compulsory technological tests, announced the corn-exchange. „It is exclusively the corn infected with mould or blight containing aflatoxins dangerous to health,“ highlighted Karel Zezula, PBB general secretary. The tests are to be performed in heating plants in Dvůr Králové and Ledvice in Bílina and power stations in Poříčí near Trutnov and in Hodonín.
To establish a company will take a week
To establish a company in the Czech Republic within a week will not sound as a science fiction any more. The House of Deputies passed the bill, proposed by ODS deputies, for a quick entry into the Trade register. It will come into force in July. What´s important is that there is a 5-day time-limit. As long as a court does not manage to process the entry within the specified time-limit, the entry will be automatically regarded as having been done. Furthermore, a businessman can even ask for an entry into the Trade register via the Internet. Application forms will be united and simple.
Slovakians don´t know how to spend millions collected for the Tatry mountains recovery
The recovery of the Vysoké Tatry mountains, damaged by a windstorm last November, is getting complicated. Thanks to money collections approximately 106 million Slovakian crowns have been gathered, while there are no projects for using the donations. Only less than 14 millions crowns were spent on works related to the liquidation of the windstorm aftermath. There are 3 reasons why the recovery has not continued so far: a long winter, which didn´t allow to proceed with some works, a lack of well prepared projects and also the fact that it is not clear yet which way a further regional development should be heading.
