Information and advisory centres in Southern Bohemia will get European subsidy

Nine partner organizations and institutions from the Southern Bohemia region [1] succeeded with their project: “Creation and Development of Environmental Information and Advisory Centres Network in the Southern Bohemia Region“ in grant proceedings of the Ministry of Environment (MŽP) within the Operational program Development of Human Resources. A director of the association Rosa, Zuzana Guthová, and a director of an external relations department of the MŽP, Jakub Kašpar, signed a resolution about subsidy allocation in height of 11,6 million CZK [2] yesterday in České Budějovice.

Oxfam: EU and USA have to reduce subvention into agriculture up to 2010

The United States and the European Union have to stop provide export subventions to farmers up to 2010 as far as they want to keep promises about making a market available for developing countries. It was reported by a British charity organization Oxfam which wants to reach in that way an elimination of overproduction of goods in the Union and the USA. Although rich states have promised that they will have violated all export subventions up to 2016, they use a hidden form of support for their customers. In that way, they stimulate them to produce a surplus and than they try to place their agricultural production on the world market even under production costs.

MZe wants to prevent resale of milk among sale coops

The Ministry of Agriculture (MZe) wants to prevent a displacement of raw cow milk among sale organizations. It is said that a resale causes problems in an accounting of its flow inland. A novel proposal of a regulation will be negotiated by the government on Wednesday. According to the chairman, Pavel Sáňka, the most afflicted sale coop will be Mleecoop which associates several organizations and sales by them purchased milk. The novel newly adjusts an authorization of milk purchasers on the part of the State Agricultural Interventional Fund.

Czech beekeeping is in crisis

Bee keepers are frightened. They have got used to movement of honey price. However, such a deep fall this year took them by surprise. No wonder that purchasers and bakeries do not want to give more than 28 CZK per kilogram of honey to bee keepers, and sugar costs about 24 crown. For example, Jan Duda from Loučej needs for wintering of one colony of bees, which produces about 20 to 40 kilograms of honey, ten kilograms of sugar. He has twenty three colonies of bee. Also facilities necessary for bee keeping are expensive. Formerly bee keepers would make various things themselves but nowadays due to strict EU norms everything has to be from stainless steel.
