Reform of EU agricultural finances evidently will not pass till 2014

Agricultural policy of the Britain presidency is criticized sorely from the side of European Parliament and European Commission. A reform of agricultural European dotations, according to the Britain Minister of Agriculture Margaret Beckett, can not be expected sooner then in 2014. Her opinion differs from an idea of the Britain Prime Minister Blair who would start with the reform of farmers dotations immediately. New dotations should appear already in the budget proposal for period 2007-2013 according to him. Blair argues that the present conception of agricultural dotations exceeds seven times their needed amount. These redundant means should be used, according to him, for a support of research and development, support of education and innovations. However, the Britain Prime Minister has not introduced any concrete plans of change yet.
