Farmers asked Prime Minister Paroubek for protection

Farmers feel cheated by a novel adjusting a purchase of raw cow milk. Partly they think that the Ministry of Agriculture worked it up „bespoke“ of big milk processors and further they do not agree with restriction of activities of sale coop with a whole-republic scope MLECOOP. It associates milk producers in sale and daily purchase about one third of milk produced in the Czech Republic. By that the coop became an operational competitor of large milk companies and could ward off pressures on decrease of a farm price . „A certain circle of milk processors refuses a loss of a privileged position in a milk purchase in setting of its price. They want further and permanently solve their economy only by decreasing of price of purchased raw material, in disregard of expounded costs in raw milk production“, said the manager of agri-coop Sloupnice Ing. Oldřich Vašina whose farm supplies milk through Mlecoop.

Forests CR raised profit till June by 65 percents to 1,04 billion crowns

The state enterprise Forests of the Czech Republic raised a profit by 65 percents to 1,04 billions crowns in a half year. Takings of the firm which ownes about a half of all forests in the country increased by 23 percents to 3,2 billion crowns. The ČTK was said it by a manager of the press and promotion department of the enterprise Václav Bendl. As main reasons of profit growth the enterprise considers a saving of costs and changes in wood sale when the firm trades still more wood itself. Changes in trade with wood were also a main reason of takings growth. „Therefore takings are not comparable fully with the last year“, said Bendl.

Commodity stock exchange in Kladno will create market with emission permits

The Bohemian - Moravian commodity Stock Exchange in Kladno (ČMKBK) prepares to a start of trading with emission permits. The start is planned on this year´s September. „The dealing with trades of emission permits will be in euros so that also foreign subjects could participate in the trading“, said Karel Turek from the ČMKBK to ČIA.

Firms plan to build hundreds of vanes

Entrepreneurs have persuaded mayors of eight villages in mountains above Chomutov for many years. Just this region is the most windy from the whole country. Firms specialized on bui ldings of wind power stations almost fought for the place. The tug-of-war was finally won by the Czech-Britain company Czech Venti. The firm prepares a building of the biggest wind farm in the CR: ninety-one poles with two- to three-megawatt vanes. The whole complex should have a dicharge of 182 megawatts. „If the project is approved, the vanes would stay in two years“, plans the manager of the firm Antonín Rais. The investment should cost about less than 230 million euros and it should be pay back up to fourteen years. However, if the wind would still blow so good.
