This year’s exhibition Země živitelka will bring many news
At least seventy to one hundred news, for example from branch of agricultural mechanization, food products and ecology will be introduced at this year’s 32nd year of the exhibition Země živitelka. The action takes place from 25. till 31. August in the fairground in České Budějovice. This year’s motto is “The future of Czech agriculture and Czech countryside”, said representatives of the fairground. This year belongs according to organizers to the strong ones, among other because Brno Techagro does not take place this year. More than 600 exhibitors and businessmen will introduce themselves at an acreage over 28 thousand squared meters. Also foreign participation increased, many European states is represented, but also China, New Zealand and the United States.
People buy more bio-foodstuffs
Czech inhabitants think of their health more than before that’s why they still more often discuss of bio-foodstuffs, thus products of ecological agriculture. Also times when products marked as “bio” could be bought only in specialized shops, which seemed perhaps also a bit exotic to a buyer, are away. Today these foods assortment of which is still richer and richer are offered also by trade chains where most people buy them. The agency Green marketing estimates that people expounded for foods 214 million crowns last year which is by 16 percents more than in 2003. From 2002 till today their consumption increased by almost one third. However, it does not mean that families would switch to this kind of meal plan on a mass scale. Bio-products share in the total food consumption only by 0,1 percent.
HN: 52 firms did not ask for emission permits, they are threatened by fine
Many industrial enterprises are threatened by almost a five-million fine for not asking the Ministry of Environment in the set term for a permission to emit in the atmosphere carbon dioxide. 52 firms did not ask for the emission permits from the total number of 436 which are related to the regulation. Today’s Hospodářské noviny informs about it.
Growers from Ústí region will export part of harvest to Saxony due to higher price
Growers from Ústí region will export a part of cereal and rape harvest to neighbouring Saxony this year. Food wheat is purchased now for 2400 crowns for a ton in the Czech Republic, in Germany for 2800 to 2900 crowns for a ton. In rape the difference moves about 1000 crowns for a ton. “The way cross the borders will pay off certainly and just by the export we could force the domestic customers to an purchase prices increase”, said a head of regional agrarian chamber František Loudát to the ČTK today. Farmers will get about 5000 to 5100 crowns for a ton of rape in the ČR, in Saxony 6000 to 6200 crowns. “We are in a contact with colleagues in Germany; the cooperation will be good surely”, he reported.
