Blair suggests remove agricultural export dotations till 2010

British Prime Minister Tony Blair suggested today in the article in Financial Times to remove agricultural export dotations till 2010. The European Union has announced that it is prepared to cancel these subventions. Blair, who arrived to Peking at a negotiation with Chinese representatives as a delegate of a country presiding in this half-year to the European Union, lays out a program towards Africa, a change of climate and trade with developing countries in the paper. His proposals should be a base for an international diplomacy in which Britain wants to play an influential role at the end of year, with regard to the fact that it preside not only at the Union but also at the group of seven the richest countries and Russia (G8).

EU manager, a chance to extend education

Úhlava, o.p.s. with the seat in Klatovy is already in the whole region well-known above all for its activities in the education area. Already for the third year it cooperates with the Faculty of Economics and management of the Czech university of Agriculture in assurance of bachelor study in branch “Public administration and regional development”. In university consultation centre in Klatovy it organizes also many short-term seminars and workshops; with the High agricultural and food-processing school Klatovy insures fulfilling the bookstock of Green library, and was a bearer of educational activities for entrepreneurs in country tourism in frame of the EU program SAPARD. At presence the company prepares an educational EU project MANAŽER which is financed from means provided from the program Phare 2003 Development of human resources.

Month of bio-food: More than 80 actions

September - the Month of bio-food offers more than eighty possibilities how to taste and present ecologically produced food. A coordinator Tom Václavík from a company Greenmarking states it in his summary paper on these actions. The month of bio-food is accompanied with a slogan “Taste the difference”. - The month of bio-food is a celebration of food produced from rawmaterials produced in a sustainable way in Czech eco-farms.Acording to Václavík people will be able to “taste the difference” in wide range of opportunities - from trips to eco-farms, through tasting in bio-shops; courses of cooking; lectures, bio-fairs, bio harvest-homes to film performances.

Vinex: Market with wine will increase till 2008 by almost two milliard of bottles.

According to experts from Great Britain the world wine market will increase till 2008 from 30 milliard drink-up bottles in 2004 to 31,7 milliard bottles. France will still lose its positions in consumption and will be overtaken not only by the USA but also by Britain. It results from an analysis for food fairs Salima and Vinex which was provided by Martin Střítecký from Fairs Brno. According to him experts are convinced that the wine consumption in the USA and Great Britain will grow by a fifth. France will further take a position of the biggest exporter of wines and wine products, although their export is still about to decrease. On the contrary producers from Australia, South African Republic, Chile, Argentina and Portugal will still more and more attack the European markets. After an entrance in the EU the amount of wine imported in the Czech Republic grew significantly, by 42 percent per 1,29 million hectolitres, reminded Střítecký.
