ZZN enterprises came to an agreement with the state on cereals storage conditions

Czech-Moravian association of organizations of agricultural supply and purchase (ČMSOZZN) is able to offer a storage capacity of volume 650 000 to 700 000 tons to the State agricultural intervention fund (SZIF). An executive director of the Association Jiří Zedník informed about it after today's negotiation with SZIF.

CZ will start to televise a serial about agriculture

From Friday 9th September on the second program at a regular time 19.30 the Czech television will gradually televise one story every time of a nine-part cycle focused on introduction of nontraditional activities hidden under a general term agriculture with a name “Behind town floors”. The press division of Ministry of Agriculture CR (MZE) informed about it today.

Commission suggests new rules for health fish breeding security

The commission put forward a legislative proposal for security of an optimal health state of fish and shellfish and for a reduction of diseases in their artificial breeding conditions. The suggested adjustment should specify the existing legislative and bring general improvement of state of organisms in aquaculture in European countries. Also it should secure optimal conditions for trading with artificially bred water organisms and products from them and to strengthen competitiveness of the EU in this important branch. A main aspect of suggested adjustment is an emphasis on a prevention of diseases occurrence in each stage of production process - needed measures cannot be postponed till the time when diseases show themselves.

EU commissioners fight against mouth disease

The European Union will release 4,5 million Euro for a combat with foot-and-mouth disease. The European Commission for the combat with foot-and-mouth disease (EUFMD) will use this sum for prevention actions which should prevent a penetration of this dangerous disease from countries which neighbour with the European Union. This disease is not transmissible on people, nevertheless, it spreads very quickly among cattle and pigs and it can also attack sheep and goats.
